MISSED CONNECTION: To the asshole who's girlfriend almost hit me with her car when you decided to get out and yell at me,

Fuck you. I was just trying to grab a bus home when the dick of a bus driver refused to use the ticket machine in his bus and made me run to the SLC. You're lucky I had exactly 30 seconds to catch a fucking bus or else this "fucking retard" would have came back like you so desperately asked and kicked your fucking ass. Also tell your girlfriend to fucking look both ways before she starts moving and we wouldn't have had this god damn problem.

  1. You shouldn't be running out in front of cars. This should also be an OMG.

    3. OP here, caught the bus, reported the bus driver and they apologized profusely for him not using his available ticket machine.

As far as the car driver goes, this was in the little parking lot behind MC and the car was stopped up until I was right in front of it. I didn't run in the middle of the road, I didn't even know there was someone in the damn thing.

  2. I'm pretty sure that as long as she wasn't driving on the sidewalk, it's you who should have looked both ways, roads are for cars and bikes.

    2. @5, definitely not an asian boyfriend/passenger. they're too passive to get out of a vehicle and yell at another male.

  6. GO bus? Report the driver for not using the ticket machine, that's complete bullshit and you shouldn't have had to go back to the SLC in the first place.

  7. @6 and OP you are both very wrong.

#1. GO drivers do not EVER have to sell you tickets, it's a courtesy. You can buy your ticket any time within 4 hours of your bus/get a Presto card so if you don't have a ticket it's 100% your fault. Or bring exact change.

#2. If this was a Friday it's doubly the OP's fault, because there is a ticket booth set up in DC specifically because GO drivers don't take cash for tickets on Fridays (because it causes 30 min+ delays).

#3. GO drivers are given a cash float of like $25 to make change with, so it's usually depleted well before they get to DC. They'll usually sell you a ticket if you have exact change though, but the driver shouldn't be expected to also be a vendor.

#4 How did you manage to nearly get hit by a car going from SLC to DC? THERE'S NO FUCKING ROADS TO CROSS. Unless you managed to get hit in a parking lot. I doubt you could kick anyone's ass if you're too dumb to navigate a parking space.

    1. Thank you 7. I was going to write a long comment saying exactly what you said about buying ahead of time. It is not difficult to get a Presto card or to buy a ticket ahead of time. Countless times a GO bus I've been on has been delayed because everyone just had to pay with $20 on the spot. This would cause the driver to not only run out of change, but actually have to turn people away. I use a Presto card to make drivers' lives easier and have been thanked by them for doing so. There's a reason why there's a huge sign posted right at the GO stop asking people to buy tickets ahead of time or use a card.

    2. #1 I had exact change. I also reported the driver to GO transit and they apologized for him not using his ticket machine. This was the first bus of the day as well, so his cash float was fine

#2 As I said, first bus of the day. 830am, the ticket booth wasn't set up in DC yet as that's where I looked first. I told the bus driver this and he said to go to the "Student Center" and told me I better run when I told him that was cross campus.

      #3 answered in #1

#4 This wasn't on a road, it was behind MC in that little parking lot. The car was also parked until it almost hit me. I didn't even know anyone was in it.

Try asking questions next time instead of getting all aggressive on the Internet.

  10. 7, citations please! It says right on the goddamn GO site that tickets may be purchased directly from the driver. It's not a courtesy, it's a valid point of sale that needs to be honoured. I've bought tickets from the driver (without exact change) dozens of times without trouble.
