MISSED CONNECTION: I had somewhat of a missed connection with you about 3 years ago. Back then you asked me out, but I hadn't talked to you that often and didn't know you well enough to be comfortable with starting a relationship, so I turned you down and asked that we be friends.
So for these past couple years, we hung out as friends, and I discovered how much I like your personality and like who you are. And it's only been until recently that I've become aware of the fact that I think I've developed romantic feelings for you.
Currently I'm afraid to tell you this. There are a couple of reasons why I can't tell you, but the main reasons are that it's been so long, you likely don't feel the same way about me anymore, and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize the friendship that we've built up, and that I greatly treasure. I just want to let you know that I hope who you find happiness, and that I think you're something really special. Even if you don't feel the same way about me anymore, I'm happy knowing that at one point, you did like me. :)

  1. Congrats, you win the stupidest person award. You didn't know each other well enough to be in a relationship so you said let's just be friends? Good call. I mean it's not like there's this thing inbetween being friends and having a relationship people do called dating to get to know each other better. Way to go. No one as stupid as you deserves to date anyway; too much chance of passing on those idiot genes.

  2. I am willing to bet the OP is brown and thinks dating means being in a relationship socially or thats what his/her friends make him/her think. Sadness.
